      In this paper we discuss the initial-boundary problems for quosilinear hyperbolic equa-tion with characteristic boundary.Making use of the theory of symmetric hyperbolic sys-tem and the resuIt of[5],we prove the existence and uniqueness of the local(in tims)smooth solution for the above problem.
