Abstract:
This is a series of 5 papers about planar graph theory and several methods for theoritically attaching the four color problem have keen provided. And the proof of the four color theorem relying on computer has also been involved. The first part includes five sections as follows: §1 Origin and development of the four color problem; §2 Plane graphs and maps; §3 Planarity testing of graphs; §4 Maximal planar graphs; §5 Duality.
