Abstract:
      This note investigates the relationship of eigenvalues of Hermitian matrices $P$ and $UPU^*$ with $UU^*=I_k$ and $k\leq n$. We present several equivalent conditions for $\lambda_i(UPU^*)=\lambda_i(P)~(i\leq k\leq n)$.
